Licensed Psychologists (Assessment & Report Writing)

POSS provides behavioral support services throughout New Jersey. We are currently seeking licensed psychologists to conduct assessments.   

Position Title:  Psychologist

Job Classification: Contract

Position Objective/Summary: The specific job duties are as follows: Psychologist Contractor will meet with youth, consumers and caregivers at the regional center and/or in the home or community to provide a psychological assessment for the purposes of determining mental health needs. Psychologist must:

  • Administered and interpret Psychological Evaluations
  • Administered and interpret Emotional/Behavioral Assessments
  • Provided timely written reports appropriate for complete evaluation
  • Provide DSM-5 diagnosis where appropriate
  • Provide appropriate treatment recommendations based on assessment findings

Minimum Qualification Required For This Position: Psychologist Contractor must have a Doctorate Degree in psychology and be licensed by the state of New Jersey. Contractor must have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Contractor must also have experience working with administering various tests as well as administering measures which assess adaptive functioning, depression, and anxiety. Contractor must be familiar with the diagnosis of Autism and have experience using measures which will tease out the differences between Autism, ADHD, and other mental health issues.

Contractor must have strong interpersonal skills and must be able to time manage.  Contractor must possess their own assessment tools to include but not limited to: the WISC-5, WAIS-4, WPSII-4 and must have a Q-global account to access behavior, emotional, adaptive measures such as the BASC-3 and the Vineland-3.  

Bilingual/Spanish skills are a plus but certainly not a requirement.

Bonus Points: Psychologist has experience with conducting psychosexual evaluations with risk assessment for children and adolescents. Experience with J-SOAP-II

Pay based on experience and the type of assessment.

Our dynamic team values collaboration and utilizes strategies to create a supportive and positive therapeutic environment. We provide services to children ages 4-18. For our independently licensed clinicians, there are opportunities to work with our adult clients as well.   

Part Time & Full Time positions available!! Tax form 1099. Full time positions with health benefits are also offered to licensed therapists who work the minimum required hours.  Background check required.

  • Provide services based on an individualized treatment plan to stabilize to prevent higher level of care.
  • Provide behavioral interventions and behavioral management.
  • Ensure complete and timely documentation of all activities
  • Therapists will use short-term evidence-based practice/interventions to provide counseling to children/adolescents in accordance with their needs.
  • Participate in child family team meetings as necessary.
  • Schedule Monthly supervision/meet with Supervisor Monthly to discuss current and up-coming family visits.
  • Ability to answer text or emails on timely manner
  • collaborate weekly with case managers with status of family/youth’s progress.
  • Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Master’s Degree or higher required
