Guidance for Growth
IIC/BA services offer personalized counseling and behavior support as part of a NJ state initiative to provide mental health support to children and adolescents in home or in community settings.
Intensive In-community
(CLINICALLY LICENSED THERAPISTS-PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LSW, LAC)
Intensive In-Community (IIC) mental health rehabilitative services are intensive community based, family centered, mental health services delivered by clinicians licensed by the state of New Jersey. Our clinicians are trained in a variety of areas including but not limited to individual and family therapy to address issues surrounding oppositional defiance, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety disorder, depression, and parent-child conflict. Services are delivered as a defined set of interventions and within the context of an approved service plan written by a clinically licensed practitioner. These services target the children’s behavioral and emotional needs and are provided in the child’s home and/or community.
Behavioral Assistance Services
These services are delivered by a bachelor’s degree level direct service provider to help decrease risky behaviors. The Behavioral Assistant (BA) provides services in the child’s home or community and is working under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist. The behavioral assistance services build on the child and family’s strengths while focusing on behavioral modification and developing better coping skills.

IIH services provide intensive, in-home care to help individuals with developmental delays reach pivotal milestones.
At Progressive Option Support Services, we specialize in providing Intensive In-Home Behavioral Services (IIH-B) to support children and adolescents with behavioral including those with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities such as autism.

We are proud to provide respite services that offer much-needed support and relief to both the youth and their caregivers. Our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment where children and adolescents with developmental disabilities can thrive.
What are Respite Services?
Respite services are designed to give caregivers a break from their demanding responsibilities while ensuring that their loved ones receive the highest quality care. Our respite program specifically caters to developmentally disabled youth, offering a range of services tailored to their individual needs. These services are either delivered in home or in a community setting. Our respite services offer a wide range of age-appropriate activities that are not only fun but also promote personal growth, social interaction, and skill development. From arts and crafts to music therapy, outdoor adventures to sensory play, our programs are designed to stimulate and engage children of all abilities.

How to become enrolled in Respite Services?
Applications for eligibility for intellectual/developmental disability services for children under age 18 must be submitted to PerformCare. Once a youth is determined eligible for developmental disability services, they may be eligible for New Jersey Children’s System of Care (CSOC) supports such as Family Support Services (FSS) – Respite.

Please read the instructions for each form carefully so your application is submitted properly the first time. Please be advised that it may take up to 60 days to receive a mailed approval letter or follow-up from the NJCSOC.
