Course Objectives.

Identify essential components of a written behavior reduction plan: Understand the different parts of a plan, including operational definitions, function of the behavior, and specific procedures.

Describe common functions of behavior: Explain the four functions of behavior (attention, escape, tangible, and sensory).

Implement interventions based on modification of antecedents: Use strategies to prevent the target behavior from occurring.

Implement differential reinforcement procedures: Systematically reinforce desired behaviors while withholding reinforcement for undesired behaviors (e.g., DRA, DRO).

Implement extinction procedures: Withhold reinforcement for a previously reinforced behavior.

Implement crisis/emergency procedures according to protocol: Follow safety protocols in a crisis situation.
